The congress took place on 10–12 September 2026 at the Theoretical Institutes of the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava. It was organised by the Faculty of Medicine with the Slovak Anatomical Society, the Czech Anatomical Society and the Czech Society for Histo- and Cytochemistry. The website was to let attendees register, pay and submit their abstract — in Slovak and in English. ## Registration requirements – categories, payments, abstracts and two languages Three co-organising societies, four fee categories, international attendees and organisers who didn't want to retype registrations by hand. - **Three societies, one registration**: Society members pay differently from everyone else, PhD students differently from members, and undergraduates attend the scientific sessions for free. The system had to tell the categories apart and issue the right document for each. - **Payment straight after registration**: Attendees had to be able to pay right after submitting — via the Slovak Pay by Square standard, with the QR code inside the payment PDF. - **Abstracts, now or later**: The abstract is uploaded during registration, but not everyone has it ready. Those who decide later need to add it without registering again. - **Two languages, one system**: The programme, fees, author instructions and registration form all have to work the same in Slovak and in English. ## Principle Registration ends with a payment document carrying a Pay by Square QR code, which the attendee pays in their banking app. - **One form for everything**: Fee category, section, type of participation, lunch and the social evening are chosen in one place — the organisers don't calculate anything. - **Automatic payment document**: On submission the system generates a payment PDF with a Pay by Square QR code. Nobody retypes an IBAN or a payment reference. - **The same structure in both languages**: The Slovak and English versions share the same structure and page addresses. ## Registration form – five steps from personal details to consents The form guides attendees through five numbered steps: personal details, contact and institution, billing details, congress participation and consents. In the participation step the attendee picks a fee category, a section by congress topic and the type of participation, and can order lunch and the social evening on 11 September. - A full VAT invoice, or payment by the institution - Dietary requirements and other notes for the organisers - Consent to data processing and to photography right in the form ## From registration to payment – in a single visit Attendees get through the whole process at once, and the organisers see the result straight in the admin. 1. **Registration** – Five steps of the form, including category and add-ons. 2. **Payment document** – The system generates a PDF with payment details and a Pay by Square QR code. 3. **Payment** – The QR code is scanned in a banking app — nothing to retype. 4. **Admin** – The registration appears in the organisers' overview. 5. **Abstract later** – It can be added or edited with the payment reference and e-mail. ## Payment by QR code – on the payment document and for sponsor contributions Pay by Square is the Slovak standard for QR payments that banking apps read. The payment PDF from registration carries a QR code with the payment details, so attendees just scan and confirm. The same standard powers sponsor contributions on the homepage: a QR code with no preset amount and a note the organisers use to recognise the payment. ## Fees page – four categories, what the fee covers and deadlines The fees page shows four categories with who belongs to each, what the fee includes and what it doesn't, plus the key dates — registration opening, the abstract deadline and the payment deadline. The same information sits beside the registration form. After the deadline the page announces that registration is closed instead of showing the form, and points to the contact page. - General fee, society members, PhD students and undergraduates - Scientific and poster sessions, abstract publication and the welcome evening included - Lunch and the social evening ordered during registration ## Abstract submission – at registration or later The abstract is uploaded as a .doc or .docx file right in the registration. The author instructions describe the format precisely — length, font, structure and a sample abstract — along with requirements for posters and oral presentations. Anyone who registered without an abstract adds it on a separate page, verifying the registration with the payment reference and e-mail used when registering. ## Information for attendees – travel, accommodation and a Bratislava guide The venue page leads to the Theoretical Institutes on Sasinkova Street, recommends the Lindner Hotel Bratislava with direct booking and 3D tours of the room and restaurant, and covers getting there by plane, train or car. International guests also get a Bratislava guide — sights, practical information and local food. The Google map loads only on request. Until a visitor opens it, nothing is loaded from Google. ## Slovak and English versions – on desktop and on mobile The SK / EN switch sits in the header of every page and leads to the same page in the other language. The English version has its own addresses, so it can be shared directly with colleagues abroad. The programme, fees, author instructions and registration are all available in both languages, and the whole site is built for mobile too. ## Registration, payments and abstracts – on one bilingual website The Morphology 2026 website served as the congress's registration system. Attendees of three congresses registered, paid via Pay by Square and submitted abstracts through the site, in Slovak and in English. The organisers managed registrations, contact form messages and the congress programme in one admin.
