## A basketball club from Komárno – in the TIPOS SBL since the 2021/22 season

BC Komárno was founded in 2020 and has played in Slovakia's top league, TIPOS SBL, since the 2021/22 season. It took bronze in its first season; the next year it reached the league final and took bronze in the Alpe Adria Cup. Alongside the first team, the club runs a second-division B team and a basketball academy for children aged 6 to 13.

The club website is used by several groups: fans look for the next match and results, partners for their place among the sponsors, parents for information about the academy and donors for how to designate 2% of their tax. We designed and built a site for the club that serves all of them.

## Requirements for the club website – four user groups and regular content

- **Several audiences**: A fan, a partner, a parent and a donor each look for something different. Each group needs its own clearly labelled page.
- **Content all season long**: After every game a report comes out with player results and the coaches' comments. The club has to be able to publish it itself.
- **Dozens of partners in three tiers**: The logos of main, gold and silver partners have to stay legible, and the partnership tier has to be clear at a glance.
- **The club's official details**: Alongside the people, the leadership page lists the club's registration details – company ID, tax ID, registration number and bank details.

## Principle

Each topic has its own page, and the home page shows the essentials of each with a link to the full page.

- **Matches and team**: The home page shows the next match, recent results and the roster. The full roster and all reports have pages of their own.
- **Supporting the club**: Season tickets, partners and the 2% designation are summarised on the home page and explained in detail on separate pages.
- **The club and its history**: A timeline since the founding, the club leadership and the academy present the club beyond match day.

## The next match and results – right on the home page

Below the opening block is the next match: opponent, date, time and venue, a countdown in days and buttons to buy tickets or a season ticket. Tickets are sold through a partner ticketing platform, which the site also links to from the main menu.

Further down are the last three games with the score, the competition and a note when a game went to overtime.

## Player and coaching-staff roster – cards with a photo and key details

Each player has a card with a photo, name and shirt number. Clicked, the card shows age, date of birth, competition and season. A filter separates the players from the staff – coaches, the club doctor, the physiotherapist and the strength coach.

The home page shows a preview of the roster; the whole team, with a squad photo, is on a separate page.

## Match reports – quarter scores, player points and comments

After every game a report comes out: the result with quarter-by-quarter scores, points for players on both teams, how the game unfolded and comments from coaches and players. It closes with the next fixture.

Articles are published in the site's content management system, and the match reports are written by the club's press officer. The news list shows the category, date, reading time and author.

- Matches and Team categories
- A lead photo and standfirst for every article
- A link back to the article list

## Three types of season ticket – White, Red and Black Partner

The season-ticket page compares three types side by side – from entry to regular-season home games to a package with play-offs, the VIP room, meeting the players and, with Black Partner, promotion for the holder's company. Anyone interested contacts the club by e-mail or phone; the details are right on the page.

The same three tiers are summarised on the home page, and the season-ticket page also covers the club's second-division B team.

## Club partners in three tiers – main, gold and silver

The partners page arranges the logos in three tiers that differ in tile size. Main partners get the largest tiles and silver partners the smallest, so the tier stays clear even across dozens of logos.

Above the list, the page explains what a partnership offers a company; below it, it links to contact details and partnership packages. Partners also appear in a logo strip under the opening block, and the full list also closes the home page.

## The basketball academy – training for children aged 6 to 13

The academy page is written for parents. It sets out the training philosophy, session length and venue, the age group and the four Komárno primary schools the club works with. At the end are the contacts for the people in charge, with buttons to call or send an e-mail.

## Designating 2% of income tax – a three-step guide

The 2% page offers an editable declaration, instructions for filling it in and information on designating the tax share, all to download. It explains the process in three steps.

1. **Download the form** – The editable PDF declaration for designating 2% of tax.
2. **Fill it in** – On a computer or by hand, following the instructions provided.
3. **Hand it in** – To the employer, or file it with the tax return.

## Documents to download – declaration, instructions and tax information

All three documents are in one place, each with a short description and a download button. The main declaration is editable, so a donor can fill it in directly on a computer.

## The club's history on a timeline – from its founding in 2020

The home page also presents the club through its history: the founding in 2020, the SBL wildcard and bronze in the first season, the international debut in the Alpe Adria Cup and the start of the second-division B team. Each year is a separate card on the timeline.

The club leadership and the club's registration details are on a separate page under the Club menu.

## The mobile version – and the Trafíš kôš? mini-game

The site is adapted for phones. The menu folds into a single button, and the match, player and season-ticket cards stack vertically.

Above the footer is the mini-game Trafíš kôš? (Can you score?): the visitor drags the ball and shoots at a moving hoop that speeds up with every basket. Each round lasts 45 seconds.

## The BC Komárno club website – matches, team, news and club support

bckomarno.sk brings together information for fans, partners, parents and donors in one place. A report comes out after every game, and the season-ticket, partner, academy and 2% pages serve all season long.
